On Friday we had our Trivia Night, the last function in our Palliative Care Week, and although the weather was freezing outside, we had a marvelous fun night. Members and friends all got into the spirit by wearing touches of green, well run by the very experienced Duggan and Hulme team.
MC Roger Duggan did a wonderful job, dressed in a green Wizard costume. Testing trivia questions kept us guessing with games between the questions, there was fierce competition!
Our President, Deirdre Stokes, thanked everyone for their support and introduced the Palliative Care Nurses and Oncology Nurses who spoke briefly about their roles in the community and how we are so grateful for our community support. Altogether a good night.
The grand total of fundraising from trivia night was $1792.35 including the raffle raising $515.20.
Thanks to all our volunteers who organized, helped set up, ran the night and helped clean up, a wonderful effort. The raffle was once again, a very worthwhile effort. The men and women’s baskets beautifully presented.
Roz Dreise presenting the winning team with their prize of wine for all!
Runners up – Deb Verdich’s team!
Last prize of the night for the teams!
Warm Regards
Lynn Nadjarian
Chair, Auxiliary
